Save Ferris!

So, we were watching the Cubs games the last few days and WGN had Ferris Bueller on right before the game so we saw a few minutes of it. Laney said, "Hey, isn't this that old movie?" Yeah, the old, ancient movie from when Mom was growing up...feelin' the love.

If you look closely in the pic, you will see the imprint of the side of a scooter handle in Mya's cheek. Never a dull moment around here.

The guy weighs almost as much as the halibut that Scott caught a few years ago...probably doesn't taste as good though.

Gib without Training Wheels!

Gib, strongly motivated by watching motocross on TV and by the fact that there is a mini dirt bike just sitting there in our garage, asked me today to go out and ride his bicycle WITHOUT training wheels... this was his first fully-committed attempt and he did GREAT!! I think he's serious about getting "certified" to ride the motorized bike, since he was out there for at least 30-45 minutes in 25 mph winds with blowing snow and 38-degree temps! 8th Birthday Snow...in So.Cal?!

A birthday party, a call from an Alaska friend, a snowstorm, and a music presentation at church... I don't think Laney will forget this birthday!

We are all just working really hard. Cleaning, schooling, mowing the lawn...it's nonstop work around here. Oh and we manage to fit in a few hundred games of Blokus and Blokus Trigon.
